stuck with similar problem

Hi,,

I am a newbie and i ve been stuck with a similar problem.I stumbled upon this old topic while looking for the solution.Please help! :D

My mic does record using Audacity but its unable to do that with the adinrec tool.Plus, I d got it recording using the arecord tool.

When i try the adinrec it gives:

adinrec -input pulseaudio -48 -raw dhellooone383
STAT: ###### initialize input device
Stat: ds48to16: loaded FIR filters for down sampling
STAT: AD-in thread created
<<< please speak >>>

However,It doesnt do any processing as such! If i simultaneously open the volume control window for PulseAudio i do see the Mic in action.
