HCompV reports different results

I tried

HCompV -T 1 -C work/config -f 0.01 -m etc/proto a.mfc b.mfc

and

HCompV -T 1 -C work/config -f 0.01 -m etc/proto b.mfc a.mfc.

Obviously, they will report the same results.

However, they won't,

Is it possible?
