Hi nsh,
yes, thanks.
Abhishek Singh send me the following email yesterday, I didn't get a chance to post it yet:
Hi Ken,
As we had discussed with you a few days ago, this is an effort to collect a corpus of continuous speech over the cellular and landline telephone. As mentioned on the page, the resulting corpus will be released under GPL at Voxforge.
Could you please mail this to all registered users at Voxforge?
regards,
Abhishek.

He's the same guy who posted this: Flash Recorder.
He sent me a link to this telephony speech collection app initiative a few weeks back (prior to making the site public). I tried the app gave them some feedback.
I am not familiar with Voice2Type, and VoxForge has no formal relationship with them. Regardless, it seems like a great way to get some telephony speech.
Anyone have any opinions with respect to supporting them on VoxForge?
Ken

Well, although their relation to us is not quite clear indeed, I think there is probably sense to promote them on the home page.
Heh, we can probably organize such thing ourself. 300$ is not much to spend for 1000 recordings. I'll give you 150 :) Lets see how it goes.

Received additional information on this, and Abhishek Singh says they should be able to submit recordings once every 15 days via the VoxForge FTP submission system.
