Hey everyone,

I wanted to post a screen shot of the iPhone application I've got in progress.  I specifically would like information on whether the readings I have listed will be sufficient for the project if a user completes all four.

Hi Jim,

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you, family took over most of my free time over the holidays...

The first three listings are about 30-40 prompt lines each. EDIT: !-- @page { margin: 0.79in } P { margin-bottom: 0.08in } -->The last one has about 1200+ prompts (31*40).  That's a lot of prompts to read in one sitting.   my comment makes no sense since in your original email you clearly state that you are only selecting one prompt from the phoneme coverage prompt list... that is the problem with answering emails in reverse chronological order... :)

So to answer your question, that would be plenty.

However, my experience with the VoxForge site is that only a few people are willing to donate 1 or 2 prompt submissions at 10 prompts each.  And even less want to donate more than 5-10 prompts.

If you've got people willing to submit that many prompts, then that would be awesome!

thanks for your support of VoxForge,

Ken

Hey Jim,

How's the iPhone app doing?  Are you planning on putting it up on the App Store?

I've started a project - VocalKit and would like to help you help Vox Forge if there's anything I can do with the Submission/Approval process.

Sorry for my absence on this -

I've mostly got this project completed, and I'm just waiting to finish something else before I return to it.  I expect I'll be able to submit to apple in the next few weeks.

It's currently built out to use modular SQLite databases for the prompts, so the prompts will stay fresh and whatever the vox-forge Dev's have up.

I'll have more information on it soon.

Thanks!

Jim Bentley
