VoxForge
Hi,
Someone referred me to this site after hearing about a subtitle with audio search engine I'm developing.
I recorded a few clips here, but I'm not completely certain what it's all about. It seems though that what I'm doing could be useful here.
Please take a look at Audioverb.com. At the moment it's just loaded with a thousand TED talks, but it's built to scale and I'll add more data shortly. It's got a flexible api for isolating sound and matching it to text.
If you want my data, just ask me. I'll figure out a way to give it to you. I'd like to avoid people pounding the site with scraper bots for at least a while longer.

Very cool project to help someone learn a new language.
Basically, if there is a word or sentence you would like to hear in context, then this will allow you to look it up and hear it.
> At the moment it's just loaded with a thousand TED talks,
Unfortunately, TED talks are CC non-commercial. We cannot use these here at VoxForge because the license we use (GPLv3) does not restrict commercial use.
However, you could use our audio recordings on your site, and you may want to take a look at the LibriVox site too (which are all public domain).
All the best,
Ken
