ERROR [+7332]  CreateInsts: Cannot have successive Tee models

 FATAL ERROR - Terminating program HERest

 

This is the error I got in the penultimate step. i.e, when I run the following command:

HERest  -A -D -T 1 -C config -I wintri.mlf -t 250.0 150.0 3000.0 -S train.scp -H hmm10/macros -H hmm10/hmmdefs -M hmm11 triphones1

See if Ken's comments in http://www.voxforge.org/home/dev/acousticmodels/linux/create/htkjulius/tutorial/monophones/step-7/comments/errore-creating-file-for-hmm6 are relevant to your situation. If not, please comment on what is different in your case.

Ya.. It got solved. My problem was the presence of sp and sil in consecutive lines. At the end of every line I had 

sil

sil

or 

sp

sil

sil.

I removed them, and now it is working. Thank you for the response
