Upload your Speech Files

Create README file

Please use the following template to create a README file that describes your submission.  Create a file called 'README' in your 'voxforge' folder and copy the contents of this template into it.  Modify the entries where appropriate.  Most of the entries are self-explanatory (to help determine your dialect);

readme.txtREADME.txt

Create LICENSE file

Please use the following template to create a LICENSE file for your submission.  Create a file called 'LICENSE' in your 'voxforge' folder and copy the contents of this template into it.  Modify the entries where appropriate.

license.txtLICENSE.txt

Tar your files.

Please include the following files in a single tar/gzip file:
  • transcriptions of your audio files (i.e. your prompts file);
  • your audio files (preferably in "wav" format);
  • your README and LICENSE files.

For example, if you followed the How-to, the files you need to submit are located in the 'voxforge/auto' folder and in the 'voxforge/train/wav' folder.   Name your tar file as follows "[voxforge username]-[month][day][year].tgz", and execute the following command to create a gzipped tarfile that can be submitted to VoxForge:

$cd /home/[your home directory]/voxforge
$tar -zcvf kmaclean-06152006.tgz auto/prompts train/wav README LICENSE

Upload Your Speech Audio Files

Upload your compressed tar file by clicking the link below.  Please provide a short description of your submission, something like this (basically the contents of your README, LICENSE and prompt files copied and pasted to your submission form), then upload your file as an attachment.

Note: the maximum attachment upload size is 150 megabytes (unfortunately, no warning message will display if you have exceeded this amount - your file simply will not upload);
